Even the uncle who can tell stories for hours doesn’t want to sit with a bunch of strangers on a beautiful afternoon waiting for the event to continue. So, what are your options? How about these 5 tips to keep your wedding going smoothly:

Provide a Cocktail Hour Area

-Provide cocktails and refreshing beverages: Pick one creative drink to serve up, along with beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options.

-Casual music: Music relaxes people, and brings back fond memories to laugh about. Make a simple mix on an iPod, hook it up to some portable speakers, and place in the cocktail area.

-Appetizers: Your guests will likely have gone hours without eating. Always provide some sort of food throughout the event, especially if people are drinking.

-Both options keep people occupied. This is a great way for guests to stroll down memory lane. It also encourages conversations about “who’s who,” what year the photo is, where it’s at and so on. When people rent a photo booth, many want to use props. We have a wide selection at Pixabooth, and we find that props are very popular. Still, some of our clients choose not to use props. We thought we’d share with you some of the arguments for and against props with your photo booth rental, and let you have the final say! It’s your party; you should have exactly what you want.

Why Props are Great

The number one reason that most people love to use props is that they give people something to do with their bodies. In a very real way, props can lessen the awkwardness in a photo.

When guests are having fun with props, we always capture some great expressions. People tend to relax, thinking less about the camera and more about having a good time.

Props are very inviting. A selection of fun masks, scarves, clothes, or other items can really draw people in.
